Bio:
Amanda's research examines how racialized mechanisms of migration control and humanitarian aid in the Global South and the Global North work together—mostly through measures of containment—in creating global corridors of transit migration. She focuses on how humanitarian migration laws and policies in Brazil, Mexico, and the U.S. are reorienting the geographies of Haitian migration and diaspora within the Global South and towards the Global North.
