Ettore Asoni is a student in the Joint Doctoral Program in Geography at SDSU and UCSB. He completed his M.D. at the University of Cagliari (Italy) before moving to the US. His research concerns immigration detention in Italy and the United States, and it combines qualitative methods with the analysis of law and policies in both countries.
