Bio

Monica Cornejo was born in Jalisco, Mexico and immigrated to the United States when she was six years old. In 2017, Cornejo earned her B.A. in Psychology from Sonoma State University, and she is currently working on her doctorate in Communication at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Cornejo’s research examines how undocumented college students' privacy management affects their stress and resilience. Her goal is to reduce undocumented immigrants' academic and health inequities.
