Nancy Morales

Bio

Nancy Morales is a doctoral candidate in the department of Feminist Studies at the University of
California, Santa Barbara. Her interdisciplinary research project focus on Indigenous Oaxacan
women and youth lived experiences in diaspora. Her previous research experience focused on the
National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON) and the National Domestic Workers’
Alliance (NDWA), exploring how race/ethnicity and gender become necessary for understanding
workers’ struggles within the immigration, labor, and civil rights movements. Morales received a
B.A. from UC Santa Cruz and an M.P.A from Cornell’s Institute for Public Affairs with a minor
in Latinx studies.
